The WV Hot Dog Tour
Jay Silverman and Joel Bennett started the WV Hot Dog Tour to help struggling mom and pop businesses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Over two and a half years, they traveled all over West Virginia trying almost 300 hot dogs, all in search of the best "WV Style Hot Dog" in the state.
Their judging criteria included taste, presentation, and cleanliness. Bogey's Driving Range in Tornado earned the top spot with a perfect 15 out of 15 score.
Now the full story is being told in the documentary film — "A Tale of a West Virginia Style Hot Dog" — premiering April 11, 2026 at the Alban Arts Center.

More Than Just a Hot Dog
It's a WV story. When we started the WV Hot Dog Tour in 2020, it was about more than just food — it was about supporting the small businesses that make our state home.
